Railway Services Help the Grassland Festival Gain Widespread Popularity

On July 19, the 35th Grassland Nadam Fair of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region grandly opened at the Xilingol Grassland Naadam Fair Cultural Park. CR-Huhhot has ensured sufficient transport capacity, improved service levels, and optimized passenger travel experience, fully supporting the festival's popularity surge.

The Grassland Nadam Fair is a cultural tourism hallmark of Inner Mongolia and is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors nationwide this year. To meet travel demands during the event, CR-Huhhot dynamically adjusted transport capacity based on passenger flow at popular destinations and times, implementing precise "one-day-one-schedule" plans. Starting July 12, special trains for the Nadam Fair were launched, with two pairs of passenger trains between Huhhot and Xilinhot running with additional carriages, fully matching transport capacity with passenger demand.

To enhance the travel experience during the Nadam Fair, Xilinhot Railway Station opened dedicated channels and waiting areas for group passengers attending the fair, providing full-process services including prioritized pick-up and convenient boarding. The station carefully prepared a "Nadam Fair Guidebook" covering venue maps, event schedules and highlights, distributing it at service desks and waiting areas. In cooperation with local traffic authorities, the station detailed road and ground transport connections, posting self-driving routes, public transport transfer stations and schedules at station entrances, exits and main corridors to help passengers quickly select transfer options. Service guidance and passenger flow management were strengthened, with youth volunteers providing directions, consultation and luggage assistance during peak periods to ensure safe and orderly travel.
